Toronto native Tony Verna first picked up a guitar at the age of ten. Shortly after that, he bought a copy of AC/DC’s Back in Black and the rest is history. What followed were years of extensive touring all over Ontario, across Canada and into the US and Europe. The 90′s saw him hooking up with recording act Britton. Together they released “Until the Day We Die” (MaGaDa Int’l) followed by a successful European tour that included Saga, and John Wetton (of Asia and King Crimson fame). He also kept busy playing in various TV and film soundtracks, many of which starred Mr. Tae-Bo himself Billy Blanks and wrestling superstar Roddy Piper.
Today, Tony remains a fixture in the Southern Ontario music scene playing almost everything including classic rock, hard rock, blues and showing up at the occasional jam nite. He is also no stranger to the tribute circuit, with tributes to Journey, Def Leppard, Aerosmith, Ozzy, Motley Crue and KISS under his belt.
Tony currently enjoys being a part of Canada’s KISS Tribute, DESTROYER.
